you said it yourself next 3 weeks are FUBAR anyways might as well go big

At least the anomaly centers look pretty weak at this point. The worst case scenario may not be a complete disaster, but if the Euro is right it wouldn’t be a long walk to leave Big J very little to claim as its own yet again.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Wait, did I see you getting snow on Mercer Island? Mix or all snow?

I am not there yet. I work for DoorDash and I am about to head south from Bothell. I'll report back when I do get back.

Slushaggedon here in Tacoma. 40 with moderate rain. There’s a couple inches left but it’ll be gone by morning most likely. Hopefully we can score atleast one more snow event this winter shame I showed up the day of the melt off.

Cold air is still too shallow here.  I've seen this before so it's not shocking.  Still a chance the heaviest precip might cool the 925mb level enough to make it happen.  33.1 at the moment.

Been a crazy night. Snowed 5.5 inches then wind came in about 40 mph with broken limbs flying everywhere. Temp shot up to 36 and poured rain. Currently calm and 34.5 and it's switching back to snow.  BTW lake cushman will probably be snowed in by morning.  They will probably get 2 feet easy.  Not sure if it will actually snow anymore tonight here.

Got home not too long ago. Was a rain/snow mix pretty much from Northgate to Redmond, with the areas closest to Lake Washington being closer to rain.

If you don't have to drive anywhere, though, don't - the roads are a mess. lots of places with standing water. Northgate Way under I-5 has a lane and a half completely submerged, and lots of standing water in the far right/left lanes on I-5, too. I passed an accident on 520 that had clearly just happened, and it looked like one of the cars had spun out and was facing backwards - neither car had their hazards on and it was completely invisible until I was right on top of them. Luckily I saw them in time to get out of the lane, especially since one of the drivers was trying to walk around the cars to point oncoming cars around it... as if anyone would ever see him in the dark through the pouring rain! 😮 Bottom line, it's a soggy, flooded mess out there.

It really, really wants to switch over here. Getting a few large flakes with the chunky rain. If I jump high enough I might land with an inch on my head.

Well, it's not a great photo, but you can get the idea how the snow is blowing. The cars were bare this evening and now are totally covered. I'm not going to be able to sleep for awhile.😆

Still plenty of snow when I was up in Everett was mostly rain south of there when I drove through.

I’d be pretty happy to see this. Euro gets pretty wet and more mild later in the run. Not terribly surprised that the pattern looks to stay pretty active overall though has been a pretty active fall/winter.

That station is likely on the edge of the Hood Canal cold pool. As its perimeter oscillated inwards, warmer southerlies were allowed to overtake the observation site, and the thermometer warmed as a result. Temps could crash there again as the boundary moves randomly over time

Thank you for the answer! @Meatyorologist

Things appear to gather for another blocking episode after day 10 though.  Wouldn't be surprised to see the second half of the winter be quite blocky overall.

The rain/snow line hugging the 546 thickness line looks pretty suspect to me. Hoping Wednesday night won't end up being phantom snow.
