Yea, understood. It's a snapshot in time. Still, it is at least a bit less windy on the 18z compared to the 12z. It would be nice if the public could get full access to it like meteorologists have. I have seen it nail QPF really well. It seems to get dialed in within 24-48 hours. Outside of that, it can have large run-to-run fluctuations.

I thought due to surface modeling bias that over water gusts can be around 50-75% overdone. From what I am seeing, and I am sorry to disappoint @MossMan who seems to be rooting for a regional disaster, this looks to be at best a garden variety breezy day.

Look at how this warmth erodes away....
