Seattle has a warmer climate (at least, this time of year) than North Bend. Everything is advanced by a week or two compared to where you (or I) live. Those yoshino cherries grow naturally in the wild here (they have spread rapidly over the last 10-15 years) and now many of the wooded areas are awash in blooms. It is amazing.
