This is when he stopped at exit 34 in North Bend... truck town exit on east side of town.

I bet the top of mirrormont (Issaquah area) does extremely well for snow

Playing out almost exactly how I thought it would.  Thankfully we had the precip early in the day which the models had way underdone.  Gave some of us a bonus shot of snow this morning that we weren't really expecting out of the first round.

It certainly feels like winter out there now with 31.8 and gusty winds.

I watched until they drove under an overpass and the roads turned WET. Turned it off and went and threw up.

After going thru this I'm almost embarrassed at the amount of time I spent following the models.  It's insanity.  When does the 0Z start?

The Skykomish Valley goes so deep back into the mountains with little elevation gain that it creates a very unusual microclimate.

Just hit the big 40. This is gross. I just keep imagining what this heavy rain and wind would look like if it went the way I thought it was going to. 

Like I said earlier, I demand a refund. Maybe even some punitive damages for the time I put into model chasing.

Every so often they do incredibly well when I just get freezing rain.  Really pisses me off when it happens since it's so close. At least now I know how to identify when it will happen so it's no big surprise.

Too much southerly component to the surface gradient for your area.

40 degrees with blustery S winds and heavy rain. Up to 0.16” today. We could see some gusts close to 50mph later. Would be very memorable to go from snow to a windstorm then back to snow all within 48 hours.

An interesting factoid: I'm further east than North Bend, and line up pretty well with the Popeyes and Gull station off exit 34.

So yeah, I lose out on elevation, but still get to keep a cool microclimate.

We’ve got a whole week of sloppy flakes, mountain snow, and photos of a North Bend shed glazed in snow with commentary from its owner who will wax unpoetic about the blizzard of burden he endures at 999ft. So don’t feel embarrassed, at least you’re not the schmuck who has spent 8 years managing a website to only get a Kevin Martin threat, Michael Snyder block, Joe Z unfollow, and dozens of Cliff Mass subtweets.
