Haven't seen you in a while, has this winter forced you into seclusion?

Work to start this year has been more demanding than ever, I check in every day here and occasionally quip a smart a** troll comment, but there hasn't been anything to really track until now, which is when I post the most.

Precip type is going to snow in the hills south of Bellingham and in the Black Hills of Grays Harbor County.  It has begun!

Temp has dropped 3 degrees to 37 in the past half hour and it is pouring.

Looking at the sat pic I would almost bet a crisp $100.00 bill we have snow in the morning.  Looks fantastic IMO.

The Fraser outflow will be interesting to watch.  Most models show Bellingham only right at freezing by 12z.  It could easily be colder than that.  If so it could be REALLY good for us.

Certainly seems likely... the cold air is pouring in now per the WRF.   

 

I have security cameras at home pointed outside so I can tell you when it switches to snow at my house and give you an estimate of what has fallen there.

South winds are roaring here right now. Still 30-50mph across southern Vancouver Island. Despite that the temp is down to 37F

Switched from rain to heavy snow at some point in the last 45 minutes when I wasn't paying attention. Grass is already covered.

PDX NWS just revised their forecast. 

 

T-1 inch for all metro locations below 500ft, 1-4 inches above.
