gimmesnow
I’m curious, are the local ski hills still making snow?I'm at alpine valley now, they're definitely done blowing snow. It's a little thin in some areas but they're going to try and make it to next weekend. They need 24 hours of blowing to accumulate enough to be worth it. I think all the places near Chicago are going to be done st Patrick's day weekend. The Sun is just too much this time of year. If you want to get out you better do it soon. The snow it actually pretty great for mid March.
Hawkeye
Well, that was quick, there goes the St. Patty's day warmth...12z GFS wants to bring a wintry system into the central Plains next Sunday...LOL...man, I'm really considering leaving for AZ next week and not come back till later in April. #Decisions Even Friday, which had been looking like a lock for warmth across the region, is now not so locked in. Recent GFS runs and today's 12z Euro have suddenly added a system tracking along/south of us, cutting off the warm south flow and turning it easterly. Tom
As daylight begins to emerge, this guy did not adjust to the Daylight Savings as my internal clock is locked. Meantime, a fascinating powerhouse storm is now looking likely across New England. I always find it interesting which model scores a coupe and watch each model run. It's a beauty to see these massive mid latitude cyclones bomb out along the EC as nature does it's thing.

Hawkeye
We're certainly into the in-between transition season, now.
