Tuesday will definitely be what Cliff called 'slushmageddon'

Maybe not a good description for tomorrow but he does say it will be snowing afternoon.

By far the heaviest snow I've seen since 1/10/17. Maybe a bit heavier in bursts.

“This is the kind of forecast that can easily go wrong. If the low ends up 100 km farther south, Slushmagedon becomes Snowmagedon. But I believe the above is the most probable evolution at this point.”

Cliff is right...And those things do sometimes happen.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I think I've changed my mind about the big storm.  Just looks like things have turned wrong for us at the last minute.

You guys were so close too.

11.5” here with about 14-15” on the ground.

I’m not sure how you guys will do with the next storm. I’d guess 3-6” down there. I think VancouverIslandsouth might know better for your area

Assuming we keep modest outflow going, tomorrow's event should be pretty good. Typically these come as overrunning events producing around 4-6" before switching over to rain. Probably will happen again with this one, perhaps with a delayed changeover if at all; in that case we'd be looking at 6"+.

Every event like this i can remember always takes way way longer to turn to rain.

We come from the land of the ice and snow.

What parameters are you looking at?

That was nuts. I was bummed to be staying Portland this week because of the snow Seattle is likely to get, but that 5 minute period really took the sting off. Like KI2, that was the heaviest snow I have ever seen. With thunder and lightning and crazy winds. A few potted plants in the backyard tipped over as that cell went through.
