Trace of snow and sleet recorded today. Enough to turn the leaves all white and cover vehicle hoods.

Another 1/2 inch of snow today in my backyard, now up to a whopping 8.5" on the season.   We are getting nickel and dimed like crazy here and we are currently under our season average at this point by

WOW!

Amarillo is a sweet spot to be in for snow in this part of Texas. I have a friend who lives in Amarillo and he tells me that snows there start early. They always seem to get snow first than my area in SEMI.

Have never done the "T" deal before. Now I'm in a bind. An early first snow and on Halloween no less. Gonna break my own rule and log my "T"

Still 0 here. Hoping for at least a dusting tonight to get the first official snowfall, but not holding our hope as I feel there's not enough moisture here. KTOL's distance from the lake doesn't help much. Toledo Express (where official Toledo measurements are taken) is pretty well West of me and I'm West of Toledo.

Dusting so far just North of GR with the front. Should see a solid inch before all is said and done tonight. Enough to whiten the ground and put it in the books as our first inch of snow. 1 day before average first inch.

Cruel and unusual punishment as the snow shield literally evaporates over my county, but reforms to my south.

SR models giving you a much better shot than here. Hope you score.

Yeah that's cuz of lake moisture I think. If we get any flakes at all it'll be due to that. Won't be a hard enough rate to accumulate at all given temps in the mid-30s.

GRR  official snow fall total for November still stands at 0.7" and at 1" for the season as 0.3" fell in October.  But here at my house I had one inch on the 7th and there is still areas on snow on the ground here from that Wednesday snow. So bottom line is there has been some snow here in west Michigan but not much but then again it is way too early to think of how the snow season will play out, My guess for this winter here in Grand Rapids is at this time in the 65 to 75" range and believe it or not that would be below average in this area.

Could be at 14-15 for the season after tonight. Pretty impressive

Obviously, I'm playing a game of catch-up with those west/SW of the warm GL's, but it's looking good to great for most of us sub-forum members. I think even our extreme N and S peeps have a shot at something special this winter. Just wish I didn't have to go a full 12 hrs between snow measurements due to work. 6 hr interval is more proper. I know on storm days like this, I'll lose some off my total due to compaction. I will sanity check my number against other reports and/or the NWS's map if they publish one.

The official snow fall for GRR on 11/11/19 was 5.5" this fell short of the record of 5.8" that fell in 1995. For November the official total is now 6.2" and for the season it is 6.5" At my house 1.2" fell overnight and there is light snow falling here at this time.

At GRR the November snow fall total is now at 6.5" and for the season the official snowfall at GRR is now at 6.8"  For the whole month of November the average snow fall at GRR is 6.8" and for the season the average at the end of November should be 7.2" (note at this time GRR is running above average in snow fall as that 6.8" average is at the end of the month)
