Don't think any of this is accumulating anyway

My wife is in Everett (East side of I-5) and she said it’s sticking there.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Well good news for the WRF because that is the one area it shows snow.

Yeah I don’t want to be hyperbolic, but this seems like a 1968 lite

Probably not hyperbolic at all. Could very well end up the most impressive backdoor blast since then.

Down to -15 in Prince George. 2 in K Falls @Timmy Supercell

I noticed as well 6-8 inches snow fell there, city school district had a snow day yesterday.

One of the cocorahs sites hasn't been up for a year or so, but another one closer to where I had the house was able to match what locals are saying.

That is incredible.   And somehow in this go around Seattle gets nothing as opposed to being buried alive.

I'm thinking those with snow cover are colder and break some records, those without tie or above

I don’t have the bandwidth to track things up there, but I also think Saturday’s system isn’t entirely resolved at this point.

It shows no snow over the olympics and its snowing up there right now and will be all day with all those showers off the coast.

Dew point of 25 here. Anything on radar out here is not making it to the ground.

It shows MBY getting nothing despite all of {ECMWF, GFS, GEM, NAM 3km, HRDPS} saying otherwise.

Does anyone know how November 1985 went down? i remember the heavy snow in Puget sound was nor forecasted at all that morning and we got 14 inches. I think a surprise low developed off Vancouver island on the edge of the arctic trough?

We come from the land of the ice and snow.

1968, 2004 was not this cold in sw bc was it?

This will be nowhere close to as cold as Dec 1968 at the surface for SW BC.  The Fraser outflow was off the charts with that.  Abbotsford had a 2/-1 day followed by a 5/-4 day.

Yeahhhhh... see that gap between the convergence to the north around Everett and the convergence north of Seattle? Yeah that is my house. So awesome 🙁

The Nov 2010 blast had unforecasted snow as well with the surface low that developed off the olympics. Pop Tv GIF by Schitt's Creek

For this area out here... some of that has already happened per the ECMWF.   And it didn't actually happen.

Starting to snow decently here now with phat phlakes. We will see if we get some stickage soon. Trying to freeze protect and drain the water treatment systems as low as we can before the deep freeze hits.

I'm hoping the front today can make something happen for you guys up there. Even a light accumulation of snow going into the cold makes a nice difference.
