my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
One of the better thunderstorms in years tonight. Tons of hail, non stop lighting and thunder for 40 straight minutes. I am guessing around 2" of rain with the amount of flooding we had.
I think the Willamette valley could have a climate comparable to the Sacramento Valley (albeit wetter) but as @Omegaraptor has suggested, the climate of the Puget lowlands will probably be closer to the inland bay area (more maritime). All just speculation of course.
Only one 80+ day so far for DEN this year, and that was a month ago. Been a pretty nice, variable spring.
Getting to the time of year when 90 becomes possible...hopefully we hold that off for a couple weeks longer.
