Unreal!! Are you going to do the water throwing trick again this year?

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Is there really nobody here from the Treasure Valley? Would like to hear/see updates from there today and my brother will likely be working all afternoon/ evening and won't be able to update much.

I’m about ready to sell both vehicles and go back to 1990’s SUV and truck. Headlights were a 5 minute change in those vehicles I had back then.

And I tried to figure out how to get Peacock on my tv but it’s over 10yrs old now and doesn’t have that app, and my Amazon fire stick is telling me I can’t put that app in my shopping cart…I might need to stream it on my phone I don’t know.

What has this world come to!!!

I’m going back to these…I am informing my wife of that when she wakes up!!

Also starting to lightly snow here. The wind woke me up. I have large trees near the house, we cut back the branches but obviously missed some. It's 17 degrees. Had light snow last night that's blowing around now.

I'm maybe 15 miles from you, near McIver Park down on Clear Creek.  We're protected some from the strongest winds but still breezy.  19f with some sleet.  .

So does gem. I guess it’s not over yet for this second shot

GEM is pretty crazy too but a little farther north.    The 00Z GEM was actually similar to the new GFS so this is a step back on this run.

I accepted it yesterday…But I’m back to being pissed off today that we missed a massive opportunity for an epic January…By 50-150 miles. What a waste of an amazing airmass! If that polar lobe would have rotated offshore just even 50 miles on Thursday we would have gotten clobbered, now if this current system would have just moved another 150 miles north we would have gotten clobbered again! Ahhhh! Instead of frolicking in snow that would have been falling with temps in the teens I get to look out at a brown dehydrated looking landscape! And to top it off I will be in the garage with my Mr buddy heater changing the headlight bulbs in my wife’s Subaru Outback…Can’t wait for frozen contorted skinned up hands and taking half the car apart to get to them!!! Great design Subaru!

(Snowmizer is probably laughing at this lol)

And putting an NFL playoff game on a paywall streaming service is making my blood boil!!!

Im in a bad mood today!!! 😀

Just wait till the mid week system goes too far north.  😬

It had been trending south for the most part, cmc model is bouncing around the idea as well. Icon is close too.

That's fun!  🤮  Hopefully you didn't get any water damage to your place.  Got down to 5 up here in the Britton Rd area, and is up to 7 right now.

None for us, thankfully! Sounds like it was a sprinkler pipe in the attic. We woke up to the fire alarm but I was pretty sure I knew what it was because the same thing happened winter of 21-22. I took a walk around the building just in case and water was rushing down four floors of balconies. 😬

GFS is the farthest south right now... the complete opposite of this current event when it was the farthest north model for so long.

Huge potential.   Right now the GFS is the only model show snow in Seattle with the ICON, GEM, ECMWF, and EPS all a little too far north.   But its all related to a complicated merger of a system coming from the west and another from the north so it could easily go the way the GFS is showing.

Temp dropped 2 degrees to 12 in the last 20 minutes. Looks like we’re wetbulbing as dew point is rising again. I wonder if that’ll be enough to kick the mid layers back below freezing? Dewpoint is 6 🥶

The warm layer peaks over the next 4-5 hours. The low is moving SE, either way that warm layer will be less of an issue for you by early afternoon,

Seems like a tough one for the models, I guess they all are.  A trough digging in from the north while another storm moves up from the SW.  Not your typical overrunning situation on the backside of a cold snap
