BLI snowman
Objectively, 2020 has been one of the more insipid years for weather events in my memory here. Minimal snow, no significant convective events, no significant storms of any kind really (I've only had three days with over 1" rainfall), and for temp extremes it's been severely lacking. PDX has a paltry low of 28 so far this year, which if it holds will be a new "warmest low" (1992 at 27, and that year at least ended with a bunch of snow). I think the most noteworthy event of the year here was easily the Labor Day windstorm and the ensuing infernos/smoke fallout. I would go as far to say that that's probably been the only significantly memorable event. Ready for 2021.... 4

Then we had that amazing t-storm that rolled through the PS region in September. I guess I'm drawing a blank on anything else notable, but those events were both a lot of fun 2 Quote Home Weather Station Stats for 2023 High - Satans Bunghole Lowest High - Not sure Low - I don't have the data Sub 40 highs - Not quite Sub-freezing highs - Try again Lows below 25 - You're joking Lows below 20 - No 2023 Snowfall - LOL

The February to early March stretch was obviously unique, as was late September through October. And the summer did have a few decent rounds of widespread convection.

And here I thought this year was awesome everywhere but Tiger's house. 1

Sometimes I think I've handled this year well, sometimes I feel like I'm completely falling apart. Living in 2020 is probably what a normal year felt like like a Century or so ago. But we are not used to it in our modern times. But yeah...From a weather standpoint this year has really sucked a big one too. 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! Other than the Labor Day firestorms, the weather has been fine here. Above normal temps and below normal precip but that will hopefully even out towards normal as we lose the 80s records. It's mostly been pleasant. There have been worse calendar years. For example, 2015 was wet at times but had fewer freezes. 1 1 Quote Springfield, Oregon regular season 2023-24 Stats: Coldest high: 25F (Jan 14, 2024) Coldest low: 20F (Jan 14, 2024) Days with below freezing temps: 24 (Most recent: Mar 8, 2024) Days with sub-40F highs: 4 (Most recent: Jan 16, 2024) Total snowfall: 0.0" Total ice: 2.25” Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 (1.9") Last sub-freezing high: Jan 15, 2024 (27F) Last White Christmas: 1990 Significant wind events (gusts 45+): 0 Personal Stats: Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 Last sub-freezing high: Jan 16, 2024 (32F) Last White Christmas: 2008 Total snowfall since joining TheWeatherForums: 42.0" Sub-freezing highs since joining TheWeatherForums: 4 Venmo GoFundMe "College Basketball vs Epilepsy": gf.me/u/zk3pj2 My Twitter @CBBjerseys4hope
