With Nina clearly forecast to weaken into January, I am wondering if Nov/Dec will be the best of winter this year. Especially since cold Novembers typically don't usually lend themselves to cold January's. I personally love front loaded winters so I'm all for it. Gives a holiday feel leading up to the new year and lots of mountain snow to play with. Snow until about January 15th works for me. As long as the blocking turns into zonal flow. Jan/Feb/March ridging makes me want to rip the hairs out on my scrotum. 1

TacomaWx
I’d much rather have snow in late Nov, Dec or Jan rather than Feb. outside of December 2021 and January 2012 almost everything has been in February for the last 10 years.

I would normally agree about the cold November / warm January connection, but that is not as true when the cold comes in late Oct / early Nov.
