Snow picking up in Central District. My Dad is over in Belfair, looks like some sort of shadowing happening there but live cam in Union looks like thick snow just to south of him. If anyone is in Union or Shelton to confirm?

Still pretty light snow and accumulation at lake Nahwatzel between Shelton and Matlock. WSW yesterday said majority of snow is expected after 1pm.

There are ridges all around it and there is a trough to its south... Path of least resistance. Of course, may just move west out to sea. Time will tell.

Yeah, unfortunately with that setup the path of least resistance might be for it just to spin in place. Really cold air is fat and lazy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Summer ☀️ grows while Winter ❄️  goes

The switchover to rain in the South Sound isn't from southerlies, but istead from katabatic warming and daytime heating as precip rates temporarily decrease. Local obs still show offshore easterlies.

Some potential for us to maybe switch back for a bit under some heavier precip rates maybe before the southerlies kick in. I’m not expecting much I’m pretty happy with how this morning played out good times!
