Pretty icy out there this morning, hanging out between 28 and 30 still.

Top of the mornin'... roads are an ice rink and I can't even tell you if it's still raining in Kent because I can't see out the windows since they are frozen over

I will say even with the light ice accumulation on the trees they definitely have a lot more sway to them with the wind gusts. A little frightening to think what could have been if we had more moisture.

28 degrees in Lynnwood, and the walkway out my front door is a sheet of ice. I tested it, but wasn't willing to take more than the one step. I'm not sure how anyone is driving out there. It looks like the street is just wet, but I'm sure it's frozen.

Shut up!!  Not because of the roads, because the equipment is all glazed over and it is freezing.  You drive a mile to work and go inside where it is 70 degrees so shut the fukk up.

Everything is glazed in ice here. Up to 31 degrees so a light at the end of the tunnel. Definitely not as bad as it could have been.

The dog went out a couple minutes ago and confirmed that it’s very slippery out. She didn’t care for it.

29 here with 0.3” of ice. Roads are a disaster here. Very bizzare I’ve seen freezing rain with a bunch of snow on the ground but not like this. Most stations still have awhile before warming up…most stations in the south sound are 27-29 degrees.

We are very close to mixing out up here. The ridge at the park has mixed out to 42, but we are still stuck below freezing just a few miles away. Very icy out there.  No sleet up here, just straight ZR. 27/21 yesterday and a midnight low of 22 today, probably will be in the low to mid 40s by sunset.

Thankfully we had less precip up here, but even so there’s at least .15” of ice on everything. Could barely walk on the icy sidewalk.

Well unless we have a raging south wind happen tonight/tomorrow I think we will still have snow on the ground for Christmas!

Models that were showing the south sound in particular getting hit with less a bit north seem to have verified. So far we’ve escaped any significant impacts to trees/power lines. Hopefully the wind and precip don’t crank up.

Ice pics aren’t as fun as snow. Not

as much ice as we got in 2021, but the most complete ice event up here as that one was with temps in the 30-32 range and the roads and ground didn’t accumulate much ice. This is stuck on everything .

Just hit 28.0. Feels like a heatwave. Not a bad stretch, we went below freezing on Sunday afternoon and haven’t been close to freezing since!

About half an inch of ice covering everything. Still have power and haven't even had a branch come down yet amazingly!

Still getting some decent showers moving through here. Amazing to see the ice add up and icicles growing in real time. Watched a neighbor chiseling into his car to get to his scraper, scraped for about 2 minutes and give up and go inside, all while it was continuing to rain.

Doubtful, I would bet they will break it by noon or soon after.

Watched a single flight leave SeaTac for SLC about 20 minutes ago on FlightRadar and nothing since. Hope most people trying to get out for holidays were able get out early.

Flying back from Boise to PHX tomorrow. I think we'll be okay. The departure/arrival board for SeaTac looks ominous today.

We've gotten off easy here so far at least.  So thankful this isn't one of those storms where it just keeps raining endlessly while waiting for it to get above freezing.  Still only 26 though.
