TacomaWx
Had to fight the urge to tell my boss in my forecast a surprise 3-6 inch snowstorm is coming when a low spins up off Vancouver island early next week :(. Told him cool/cold and dry is likely coming in the foreseeable future. My boss is complaining about the lack of rain and so am I. Hasn’t been a very wet winter which means less work for me.

One of the biggest snowstorms ever. Looking at the daily data, it appears it was an extended overrunning event as warm air tried to move north. Probably an AR event with cold air still available on the north side. So it makes sense that it was already warm down there by early February. Temps in Seattle jumped up on 2/7/1916 and the rest of that month was actually fairly warm with almost every day warmer than average. 2 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**
