The 18z GFS has things in a good spot over the next few hours. We'll see, but I suspect once the winds shift to E then NE things will improve rapidly.

Looking down the valley, temps are all in the mid 30's or cooler. A south wind won't dramatically warm us up right away

Yep, it is snowing down here but it of course won't last very long with the sound winds. Hopefully that southern energy in the Tuesday-Wednesday period continues to become more dominant. We have way better luck with energy coming out of the south here for our snow.

The current wind speed and direction are terrible for us. If the wind slows or direction becomes more northerly more will reach the surface.

EDIT: Radar is useless, it's snowing here lightly but there's nothing above me, apparently.

When you guys are talking about current conditions or even forecast models and you use "We" or "us" ... can you please note your location? This board covers a large swath of land with a lot of different weather happening.

Some of us have our locations on our profile but I see a lot of you don't, so writing "North wind kicking up here" or "We are starting to get some real accumulations" means nothing.

Here's an update for me, light snow starting to fall in DT Bellevue.

FV3 trended north for that CA low again. Just needs to work on bringing that low into about Florence, OR.
