Hot and clear day in Pullman at the Cougars game. There's some haze to the north. Even in the shade I'm sweating which isn't super common.

Really nice early fall system on the 18z GFS. Don't think this will be the year, but autumn's like 2012 or 2016 are truly special. Once they got going they didn't stop delivering blessings aplenty.

That doesn't sound special... give us some variety.   Alternating storms and sunny periods makes for a nice fall season.

Looks like a couple of rainfall chances for MBY coming up fairly soon.

I’ll get more excited about the storms modelled for later if the models are still calling for them within five days.

Tuesday night is looking pretty good from King County northward on all models now.   That was the only rain event that ECMWF showed for the Seattle area for the next 10 days though.

Yes... but it can come in firehose spurts and be broken up with some nice periods and still be much wetter than normal.    I am guessing November and December will be very wet.    That is just a guess of course.   But if I had to bet that it what I would put money on.

The 18Z ECMWF shows some rain out here early Monday morning and again on Tuesday night... but also shows the afternoons being quite sunny each day through mid-week in the Seattle area and in my area.

That trough the middle of next week drops nicely into Eastern Oregon. They have done pretty well the past month or so. Not a terrible fire season over in that part of the state.
