Yeah during slow times I've actually learned a lot from people here but during mega hype periods like this it's very difficult to discern. Heck there's like 600 miles of difference between regular posters so you have to geolocate everyone just to begin to interpret their interpretation.

Its really annoying when some posters are like "omg getting dumped with snow" and there's absolutely no hint in their name, bio, or signature where they are

Thought we'd have to wait until the Arctic front to see any blackouts

Mark Nelsen:

Our weather turns far more interesting late next week.  For several days models have been forecasting cold arctic air to drop south across the Canadian border and into the Pacific Northwest late in the week.  By “cold arctic air” we mean cold enough that temperatures don’t get above freezing in Portland, or even stay in the 20s.  When this happens, often some of the cold air moves out over the ocean and picks up moisture which then becomes snow showers.  We think something like that is possible on Friday or beyond next week.  Exactly how far south the cold air goes, when showers would change to snow, and how much snow could fall are the unknowns. There is still a chance the real cold air stays bottled up north of the border and the mixed showers pattern just continues with no real effect in the lowlands.  But it’s safe to say the chance for cold and or lowland snow has increased at the end of the 7 Day Forecast.

I like how Fred threatens to ban everyone for politics, and then embeds a deranged sovereign citizen video to auto play every time you open the forum. I know this is the kind of garbage he's watching now, no hiding it.

This forum started blaring out an annoying youtube video for reasons that I have no idea about. I suspect that it why it was shut down for a bit.

Doing it again, weird.

The frustratingly short 18z Euro is starting now. It only goes out to Tuesday morning, but who knows. Maybe we can get something from it.

Testing

Had to undo a MySQL patch. The site is being hit by what I can assume are LLM crawlers for ByteDance and CommonCrawl, all at once. They're hitting some older pages that are causing a stuck pid. Drained traffic, did the roll back, checked, and here we are.

Thought I was losing my mind. Can’t access from home laptop (xfinity) only on phone on 5G and a completely different network. Weird
