my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
00Z ECMWF is much drier than its 12Z run. So many moving parts next week though with a non-stop supply of ULLs just blossoming out of nothing makes me think it could easily go back to wet.
Here's March-April-May in Newport Beach:
2 back-to-back years of cooler springs than normal is not climate change.
A rise of ~2.5 degrees over a 100-year period of record is.
The new pattern is troughing over California non-stop all of May and June followed by development of the 4-corners high in early July with a quick transition from winter to summer and no figs on fig trees.
Jacarandas which used to bloom in May, pre climate change now wait until July to bloom.
