my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.

After today's midday storm missed my house to the south, it looks like the CZ is reorienting itself overhead. Could last a while per mesoscale models.
Today on the drive to work around ten blocks south it was like hitting a wall of water. Drenched roads and everything. So close!
Good for him! Many people thrive on work. Others just want out or a change. My husband has 36 years with the City and Fleet Manager is just reaching its limits for him. City “fathers” are mostly the issue.
He’ll rest and then get bored. As long as he’s happy, I’m happy. Otherwise, make a change for the better. He’ll live longer and fulfilled if he’s happy.
I would have stayed longer with my chemical plant but my partner was majority owner and he wanted out. I thought we should build on what we had and go another 5-8 yrs. But it all worked out ok though I did miss it. Quite an adjustment to leave.
What matters most is do you like what you do? Are you happy where you are? Then, likely you should consider staying awhile. Being happy and feeling meaningful is a real plus in so many ways.
