Really?  Coming down nice here on Bainbridge.  Over 1/2” so far.

If you look on the radar, it’s a narrow band, and it’s moving from west to east. If you’re not under it, you’re losing out.

It's called clown range for a reason.

My wife had to go Downtown Vancouver for an appointment. She was on the 1pm ferry thinking she’d be there at 330.  She just arrived 4 hrs late.

Wow. That's brutal. Glad she made it safe.

Glad I got to see some flurries but its crazy how the snow gods dissed me today. Hansville got dumped on, Poulsbo is still getting dumped on, but we got a few flakes. That's it. At least I have booze.

Poulsbo did not get dumped on.  There is literally nothing out there.

Really interesting when you look around the Seattle area... from 520 northward it looks like its pretty dry.    The radar shows heavy precip over Ballard where my son lives but he said its just a few flakes there.   But south of I-90 it looks much wetter.   Also looks like its snowing West Seattle.

Strong north winds blowing the snow south as it falls.

A chilly evening to be powerless.

Power is out on the Guide here in Bellingham, which for those not familiar with the area is the main "shopping district" for the area, and also has a ton of apartments and condos.  it is also near the middle of the  Frasier outflow blast zone, so if they don't get the power back on soon, its going to be a miserable night for a lot of people.

Yeah... radar does not tell the whole story for sure.     Some places over-achieving based on radar and some the opposite.   No idea why.

down to 15.4F with a DP of -0.8F.

Winds have been quite impressive but have not gotten to the point of making the windows rattle.  Anyone know when the outflow winds are supposed to peak?  I know the wind advisory we have up here runs until 7am Saturday.

Think it depends on what part tbh...

I live directly behind Poulsbo Middle School.   I have nothing here.  A short time ago, I was at Walmart, and there was nothing up there either.  I think much of what is shown on the radar is virga.  The air is way too dry for the snow to reach ground.  There's been a few flurries, but like you, not much.

GFS is south of its 12Z run... probably perfect for Portland.    Would like to ask the GFS why it thought this snowstorm would end up in Vancouver BC?  🙄

I heard from two people, one back behind Vineland and another up around the bridge, who both told me it was dumping at various times in the last hour. Not saying they got inches on the ground or anything, just that they said it was snowing hard.

It was snowing quite heavily and sticking several miles South of the CZ on radar this afternoon. I drove into it expecting the snow to pick up in intensity a lot and it hardly increased even as I drove under bright orange echoes.
