Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

WRF still looks surprisingly snowy North of Seattle. Kitsap has pretty consistently been getting hammered.

Really baffling how much drier the GFS is than the WRF considering it gets its data directly from it.

You’d think they were all over up there as bad as you make it sound. Sadly I don’t think they could ever survive in Spokane, even with lots of global warming ☠️🌴

Being from the east coast, I’m not sure if you even have the regional context to grasp that you live in one of the best climates on here.

I was referring to your current weather in that comment, more of a joke based on the sarcasm of Palm trees around here

Cheers

00Z ECMWF... Hood Canal looks like a lock.   925 temps are just a little too warm for the rest of western WA,

lol I’m sure some folks are upset about the realistic take on the situation but it is what it is. Just never seemed like it was going to work for most of us on the I-5 corridor. If I didn’t have to work I’d make a trip out to kitsap this week.

This upcoming pattern would have actually been pretty decent had there been any cold air within 1000 miles.

The frazer valley and north has cooled down a bunch since yesterday, 15 at my cabin, coldest reading in a couple weeks.

In jest or not, you’re correct.

STJ dominated pattern still, not much in the way of a northern stream (which would be more typical of cool onshore flow regimes).

Long range models will gyrate all over the place but there is an element of predictability beneath all that.

My sister in NYC has been sending me snow pics all morning. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous. Rates up there are much better with this storm compared to the storms down here in January.

Snowed for a couple hours here this AM but it was in the mid/upper 30s so it largely melted.

'EPS has been consistent in the long range... no surprise to see the GFS showing something similar.
