Some pics on the way up to my property.  The ones on the road are 1/4 mile down the road and the gate is the beginning of my 120 acre land.

No idea this was going to happen today! Mcminnville

2.16" of rain so far today, 13.24" of rain MTD/YTD so far.  Every system wrings out the absolute most possible moisture here lately, but when it gets cold enough to snow all moisture will funnel just north or south of us, even by a mile or two.

SEA is just about to 5 inches of rain on the month... normal for January is 5.57 inches.     Should blow past that tomorrow.

Here is a Matt-like prediction... the second half of the the month will probably be drier than the first half.

SEA has also received just about 25% of the normal annual rainfall there in the last 20 days.

FWIW, the 00z NAM also increased gusts a hair for tomorrow night vs. 18z.

Euro probably won't verify but it could still be a bit windy.

Will you change your mind of the 00z Euro doesn't back down on the strong winds?

From what I've heard, the Euro overestimates wind gusts even in the most benign of MSLP gradients by 5-20%. Still, its 18z solution would be a quick and powerful blow.

Probably not. I don't see winds that strong verifying.

But who knows... Sometimes you bet against the Euro and it proves you the fool.

My biggest winds typically come when they are under-forecasted...Generator is gassed up and ready!

Betting against the king? Is that a thing?

Yeah, I know it's unlikely, but I can always hope. Been hoping for some serious wind and it's been awhile.
