It's remarkable how much the pattern change keeps getting watered down and pushed back. It's like trying to get those pie-in-the-sky arctic outbreaks in the winter. Usually each subsequent run moderates the cold a touch and pushes the big snow totals back a day. For the last week plus the 10 day total precipitation forecast has been relatively consistent, but what was 10 days ago now is 3 days away and has quite limited precipitation.

I would really love to see a really big snow dump in the mountains in the last few weeks of March before spring arrives in force.

Years ago we had a heck of a T-Storm outbreak along the OR Cascades/Foothills during Spring Break temps were around 80-83 degrees.

Some of us had our biggest snow of the entire Winter on March 12.

Brisk out today too, there wind chills so cold it'll keep you indoors. The high very briefly maxed 32 (was almost 70 yesterday!) but back down to upper 20's at the airport here.
