Hey all, I'm officially new to this forum but I've lurked around here every once in a few days since December 2021 to follow on the snow forecasts, and ever since I just generally lurked to follow the weather while learning things bit by bit.
I withheld on making an account because I don't have anything to contribute, I believe, and I wasn't sure how a newbie or an outsider would be treated. I have a very vague sense on how to read GFS or ECMWF maps but have no idea how to use them to pred
PDX is now 4 inches above normal for 2024.
SLE is 5 inches above normal for the year.
Pretty impressive for just over 4 months into the year.
But assume talk of catastrophic drought will continue from our friends down there. Even though those stations could now go until September without rain and still be wetter than normal for the year.
There's a chance that a few showers could work up into my area today otherwise cloudy and cool. Looks like most of us will dry out and cool down for a good while after the early and midweek storms roll through. @Tom maybe some rain in the valley?
Active day tomorrow especially for Oklahoma and Kansas.
The NAM indicating that Tuesday and Wednesday could be an active day for others east into the Ohio Valley.
