This would be an absurdly early Oregon ski resort opening if it verified, just saying

Looking pretty likely there will be big snows coming up for the cascades. Even some decent totals showing up down into the sierras. Definitely a blessing to get lots of meaningful precip across the region after such a dry first half of fall. Lots to be excited about even if there’s no snow below 1000’.

I think I could get behind that. Have you had any snow in Sioux Falls yet?

What really sucks is that I've thrown up so many times that my RNS implant is hurting. I'll hopefully try to be awake more today.

One big difference between warm and cold around here. When it comes to hot weather we can comment on how crazy it is while it’s approaching on the models, as it’s happening in real time, and in retrospect as we try to comprehend the slew of shattered records. We usually only get 1/3 of this experience with cold weather. Which, according to JimLoaf, ain’t bad.

12z runs Nah. Block is too top heavy. In my estimation the chances of arctic air not making it south are bumped up from ~82% to ~87%. Still a ~13% probability we see models improve in that regard though. The real story is the coming significant wet pattern, atmospheric rivers, and flooding.

Hey man sorry you have to go through that. Both you and your wife. Hope you can take it easy and get as much rest as possible.
