12Z ECMWF is a little more favorable up there than its 00Z run... trending in the right direction this morning.

there are a lot of micro climates around here, that's entirely possible, even probable I'd say

By 00Z Friday surface temperatures will be in the 5°C range. I suspect some of that is phantom snow. Will have to take a look at model temperatures and see what the total snow map is at the point where it changes to rain.

16 at noon here in Kansas City. Totally bare ground, all the snow from Wednesday melted before this blast arrived.

I expect there will be some light accumulation mainly higher elevations and north of the Fraser. Perhaps an inch or 2 up at sfu

This is about when it starts transitioning to rain. Looks like I still get a dusting IMBY, maybe an inch or two if I am lucky. I am in a ridge top neighbourhood north of the Fraser, but I’m nowhere near as high as say Burnaby Mountain.

Got down to 20 this morning. 3rd separate blast this winter I’ve gotten down to at least 20. Doesn’t happen often even IMBY. 2016-17 is the last winter that happened.

18 for Hillsboro, 19 in Scappoose, 18 in Kelso.

Colder than last February's event in most places for low temps it seems. Wind kind of messed up the lows on a few days last year even though it was a colder airmass.

Yup. I was surprised places in the Willamette Valley didn’t get colder though. NW Oregon/SW Washington were the big winners on the west side.  Perfect combo of chilly, very dry air coming through the gorge yesterday then quick relaxation of gradients/decoupling overnight.

I think a stubborn north wind down the valley kept mins up down there, especially west valley. They could possibly get a little colder tonight though if clouds stay away.

Not nearly as cold last night as it was late last month up this way. Mostly a matter of snow cover (or lack thereof) .

Is there a way to find out when the last time was that the -10 or better 850 temp line made it down to Eugene/Springfield? I genuinely don't know.
