Things kind of leveled off last night so I only dropped down to -21F. My spot has never been a very good cold air drainage spot being elevated from the valley. Makes the -40 I saw last month seem even more impressive. That airmass was beautiful!

Looks like the airport hit -30F.

Crystal clear morning with some light frost and a low of 18 so far. Pretty impressive, that makes two consecutive months that have fallen into the teens here.

Fell to 27 by midnight last night, making for a 37/27 day yesterday.

Its a more comfortable 21 degrees 3 miles southeast of that. The status of the area around there is unknown and I dont feel like heading out there to find out.

PDX had a 39/31 yesterday, good for a -8 depature. 

SLE had 40/26, good for a -10 departure against the horrific 1991-2020 average of 50/36.

I think a lot of spots will hit low 40s today, but hopefully not much higher than that.

Pretty unimpressive low of 25F here with just enough wind to keep the temperature up. It's a rare day when SEA has a colder low than here.

Looks like a low of 21 this morning after a 39/24 day yesterday. Would be nice to keep it sub 40 again today but I get the feeling we end up 40 or 41 this afternoon.

Just don’t understand some of the negativity from Seattle north. It was a beautiful, sunny weekend.

Sure, it’s a quick hitter of a dry blast that’s more of an arctic fart than a true blast, but they can’t all be epic blasts. You would prefer instead endless Niño-like ridging with relentless 50-burgers and a few 60-burgers thrown in for good measure?

South of Seattle I can understand some griping by this stage. This winter has largely been a nothing-burger for snow there.
