From 1990-2006, I think Tacoma only had like four 4"+ snowfalls.

It hasn’t stayed consistent here yet but we’ve gotten some big bursts of big wet flakes at times and we’re down to 36 I still think any accumulating snow might take some time.

There's been a power outages in NB for the last couple hours. No ETA for restoration from a friend there.

I’m going to guess no. I’m on the other side of the cedar river water shed and the radar looks healthy but all I see are a few flakes. Wind is screwing the foothills for now.

We’ve dropped from 45 degrees at 6:30 to 35 now at 9:00. Despite the temp drop it still hasn’t fully transitioned to snow. We will probably fully transition and get stickage if we can get down to 33-34 degrees and get steady heavier precipitation.

Is it still snowing there? As soon as it turned moderate snow, it stopped

Only a few random flakes here. I think the DP may be just above freezing despite the temp drop now that we’ve cooled down…but if we get some heavier precipitation it’ll change back over. I think if we get stickage it’ll be later tonight.

We need more northerly momentum or a faster rotation. It could happen with a well-placed deformation zone. The dynamics are favorable with a slight nudge to the north.

The temp drops very fast with precip. I went from 41 to 36 in 20 mins

We got home this afternoon so just in time for this event.  Haven't seen anything falling here yet.

You sure your station doesn't have warm bias? Sometimes they get out of whack and show temps sometimes a couple degrees too warm or cold.

Power was out at our house for about 18 hours from yesterday afternoon through this morning and was related to equipment issues.   The weather was totally quiet at that time.   Can't ever remember an outage that long completely unrelated to weather.   Glad we missed it.
