I'm so, so sorry, Tim. If only I could take all this pain from you... 😢

It does suck being injured and not able to do anything in terms of snow removal or really even be able to go outside.   Snow and crutches don't mix!

Torn ACL.   Can't walk normally yet... certainly can't be shoveling driveway or using snowblower.   My son said he will come home and help if it really piles up.

Ended up with a 52/41 day here. Some morning showers, then overcast with breezy south winds in the afternoon, followed by a late evening cold front with heavy rain, NW winds and dropping temps. Low of 41 was set at midnight. Over .40” rain on the day.

Pretty vigorous VI convergence zone feeds a bunch of moisture into the north sound.  A colder and earlier version of March 24th last year.

Shower activity firing up in the North Sound now. Just enough to keep me from going to bed.

Crazy how suddenly this intensified. Will be very curious to see if it holds together here. Sometimes the interaction of these showers coming off the Strait can be really funky and hard to predict.

Groupel just started a few minutes ago here and cars, driveway and roofs are already turning white. Also just heard two rumbles of thunder. Glad I stayed up!

33 with some light snow showers, just a slushy dusting. Our only chance at accumulating snow is probably tonight if there is any moisture left over. Perhaps we'll get a slushy inch later this week. The big issue with this trough is the moisture could be pretty sparse now that we have the cold air in here.

I have a few flakes falling now! Also it appears portions of Lake Stevens and Everett got some.

Currently 38F and clear. Tonight is probably my only chance all of February to go below freezing. 2016 will be the only February (since 2010) that I've recorded fewer freezes.

The HRRR is a bit different than the UW WRF — a textbook double CZ with the southern one directly over the city of Seattle.

Very high confidence that some folks are going to get nailed with the reliable mesoscale models all on board. Could cause a travel mess as well if a quick couple inches fall in the middle of these bands.
