Looking farther out... some hints of a pattern change showing up now on recent EPS runs.    Maybe our first taste of spring in sight?   Some on here might enjoy that as well.  👍

38 here in snoqualmie and 41 in Tacoma. Had a bunch of rain/snow mix here so far. Will probably see some snow up here if the precipitation moving in soon is as intense as it looks. All the snow from the previous events earlier this week has melted but definitely some snow on the hills around me.
As for the potential for accumulating snow down below 500’ and near the sound the next couple days….i can see reasons to be skeptical. I’m sure some people probably will get some snow outside of the usual favored areas next couple days. Probably won’t be much though for people besides snowmizer and Tim ect.

18z HRRRRRRRRR looks amazing for the willamette valley. Currently at Mt bachelor, it's a pretty nice and snowy day, some nice fresh pow ontop of some cement from the snow before the cold front. I'll post some pics later.HRRRNW_prec_kuchsnow_047(1).png.25748e664758db28a737aad14df010bc.png

HRRR has some decent cells over my house and the southern 405 corridor later evening and tonight. Hoping I see more than just a mix....even the most minimal ground coverage for an hour or so would be super. Might have to keep my son up for some street light watching.

Yeah one big problem will be to get decent accumulation gotta have consistent precip. I’m sure some people will get hit by some heavy snow or mix showers…but hard to build up anything meaningful if it only lasts 20-30 minutes.

March is useless for lowland snow so bring on some spring warmth.

Planning a company hike in early April, so we need as much warmth as possible to melt things down out there.

41 degrees and not moisturing up here in Bellingham.  Pretty much all of the maps I've seen show north & western Whatcom County getting shut out, so I expect the not moisturing trend to continue

NWS point forecast has been comically off with the event today. They forecasted no accumulating snow here and rain “possibly” mixed with snow. AI sucks.

I feel like we are going backwards in forecasting…But it seems like many things have taken a step backwards over the last few years.

The EPS was all over this current cold period as soon as it came in sight while the GFS was spitting out ridging and highs in the mid 60s in early March.   Hopefully the EPS is maintaining its supremacy.

18z is pretty lame around Puget Sound for the next 48 hours. Not much organized precip during the night tonight and tomorrow night's storm stays well offshore keeping things pretty dry then too. Would have loved to see this guy push inland because a 983mb meandering low like that could bring fun surprises in the right spot, but not looking likely. Bummer.
