For the Seattle area, I always go up cougar mountain in the Renton/Bellevue/Issaquah area. Can get up to 1,400ft just 10min off of 405 or I90.

Yeah after Day 6 850s warming a bit would hate to see the snow melt in the Oregon Cascades.

Well what was looking promising for the Oregon Cascades is all of a sudden looking pretty mediocre. Would be a while until see the ski resorts open if it verified.

Day 8 Aleutian ridge strengthening with a bit of a bridge to the weaker high latitude ridge over Alaska. If that were a stronger merger that could drive the arctic air southward as the ridge slides eastward.
