The hottest summer on record (2015) had 40 days +80…and 5 days +90. Should be interesting to see how this summer ends up comparing to that one. we average about 17 +80 days in July and august combined so we’re ahead of schedule. Despite being a developing country, the Philippines has generally done a pretty good job on volcano safety. They saved a lot of lives by moving decisively to evacuate people from around Pinatubo before it had its big eruption.
