So I’m not a fan of that particular aspect of permanent dst. Yeah exactly. On a typical rainy or cloudy December/January day it’ll be just barely be light at 8:30-9:00 in the morning. Phil
Update re: ENSO and peripheral EOFs (PDO/NATL, etc). Calling for La Niña to continue into NH summer. Which is bad news for the SW US. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/GODAS/ocean_briefing_gif/global_ocean_monitoring_current.pdf 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

Timmy Supercell
9 minutes ago, Timmy_Supercell said: There are still dark mornings even after falling back on the clocks, waiting for the school bus especially when its raining. I can recall many days there wasn't actual light until class has already started. Some forget how dark the weeks before and after Winter Break really are. In regards to risk of students being hit, this also happens after school hours. I had to stay extra often to get some last minute work done, it got dark quick on standard in the early evening. There will always be mixed opinions on the subject, but overall I'm going for year round DST. For the students that need some extra credit after school hours, it'll stay light longer. 1 Quote Ashland, KY Weather '23-'24 Winter Snowfall - 5.50" First freeze: 11/1 (32) Minimum: 2 on 1/17 Measurable snows: 4 Max 1 day snow: 3" (1/19) Thunders: 21 1/27, 1/28, 2/10, 2/22, 2/27, 2/28, 3/5, 3/6, 3/14, 3/15 3/26, 3/30, 3/31, 4/2, 4/3, 4/8, 5/4, 5/5, 5/6, 5/7 5/8, Severe storms: 2 ------------------------------------------------------- [Klamath Falls, OR 2010 to 2021] https://imgur.com/SuGTijl
