The NWS always appreciates observations, especially detailed observations that everyone on here is capable of giving. That can be done thru Twitter, as they often set up a feed for that, or the mPing app. That can include final snowfall amounts, when the snow starts/stops, precip type, dew point, etc
This helps them with short term forecasts as well as future forecasts as they can learn from them. A few years ago they had a freezing rain advisory for Leavenworth, but I notified
The GFS/GEFS is still the structural outlier, though. GEPS/EPS are much more similar in terms of the overall pattern, even with regional differences.
But that doesn’t say much about which one is right/wrong, though I’ll give 65/35 odds that the GFS will fold today. We’ll see.
0.30" of rain here in East Nantmeal since yesterday with 0.17" since midnight. Today will be unseasonable chilly and wet day with temps in some higher spots remaining in the 40's. A brief break tomorrow with some sun before rain returns late at night into Sunday. One more nice day on Monday before showers return for much of the remainder of the week.
