1 inch or so would be really nice to refresh the snowpack! Pretty crazy how well the snow has held up in the shade for late February, still a solid 3-4" there. Mostly melted in the sunny spots though

Just spent 30 minutes explaining evaporative cooling to the wife and how the our recent move to bellevue was the best decision because we are at 500' elevation. She told me I was talking too much. She just doesn't get it.

Just explain to her that she will get 8" more often and leave it at that.

So far nothing here despite under the radar for a bit. Virga at its best. Temp down to 34. Going to be a nice event tonight.  I'm curious to see how far my temp can drop tonight during snowfall. I'm thinking I might get down to around 30 which would be nice quality snow and not weigh down the branches to bad.

Same here, have 4+ inch snow depth in shaded areas. Already down to 32F here. We should be good for 1-2 inches I think.

Definitely one of my favorite events that I've experienced, from the 6-8" blizzard, then subfreezing high and ground blizzard the day after with full sunshine, and possibly some more snow transitioning out of it.

Yeah unfortunately it’s not looking great for most of pierce county. We’re right on the border of the snow hole it looks like. Should fare decently here tonight still being just far enough NW.

Still a lot of question marks for tonight.  I would be happy with a solid inch with this one.  The ECMWF is back to showing 1 to 1.5 for tomorrow night here so that would be great.  Tuesday morning looks like the big deal though.

We should manage about 3-4 inches the next few days. Probably 1-1.5 tonight here as well. We’re both kind of on the edge of the lower totals shown…but still not the worst spots to be tonight.

The NBM shows the low on Tuesday tracking south of Olympia.  That would be fantastic for the Seattle area.

Man I've used a bunch of firewood this season, I think more than ever.

My burning season starts in September and it's all we use to heat our home.

Normally burn around 4.5 cord and we are already at 4 cord.

We will be burning well into April so we'll be at around 5.5 to 6 cord this season. Crazy!

00z NAM completely backs off on the Tuesday snow and deformation zone for the sound. The EURO is the only model worth taking seriously.

Yeah NAM isn’t looking too great for the south sound.

Looks like Tahola on the coast is back to snow after starting out as rain for a bit. Queets as well. Looking good for snow tonight in the interior.

Good rule of thumb.  If it's snow on the coast we should be golden.

Same here. It's been one heck of a winter if you measure in firewood.

Kind of amazing how the temperatures where warm today. It was around 40 in my area but it's now 34 degrees and the sun hasn't been down for an hour. As I'm writing this, the temperature dropped to 33 degrees. The dewpoint is 24. If and when the moisture comes, I know the temperature will fall, I believe we will see snow. How much, I don't know. All we can do is watch what happens now.

I only burn mine at night and I've used quite a bit.  A lot of cold nights this season.

There's really no reason for the hole to be there with the Tuesday system.

I think you'll probably do a bit better farther west and cooler at the moment but seeing some more snow fall at all is pretty amazing

The NAM is on drugs. This is what it predicts the temps to be at 7PM. It is already several degrees colder than that here. It is already below freezing. Joke of a model.

Well it is 37 at pdx. You are going to do better than other Portland areas tonight.
