Maybe I’m weird but I’ve always liked the early sunsets. The long evenings can be cozy. On the flip side I’ve always enjoyed the super late sunsets on the opposite side of the year too. I enjoy dynamism when it comes to daylight length throughout the year. To me it would be strange living at a lower latitude where daylight length and sun angle are more uniform year round. I realize this is just personal preference though.
A lot of times those clusters totally fizzle out before they come back around. I'm hoping for that actually. I don't want too much solar activity to ruin our ongoing blocky regime.
That is one cold ECMWF run at the mid and upper levels! Even the low levels could see some well below normal temps on either highs, lows or both depending on details. Good for glacier preservation at the very least. With the low snowpack late cold snaps are going to be very important in that regard.
