snow_wizard
HRRR shows not much for the south and central valley after midnight, snow reaching well up into WA. Also shows the low center currently over Crescent City CA reaching Sequim by 9 am tomorrow, crossing over Sweet Home and Portland on the way. One of the oddest tracks I have seen. That is one fast moving low if that happens! No matter how you slice it things are looking better for snow over much of Western WA over the next 36 hours or so. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! Frontal Snowsquall
Is anyone else beyond amazed the ECMWF shows another cold shot equal to or greater than the current one around Sunday or Monday? Mind blown once again!Yeah, another surge of frigid Arctic air makes it's way into Montana and we get a piece of it. Looks like the cold pool is still there early next week with strong offshore flow. Would be great to get a big overrunning snow/ice storm to finish off this Winter.
Brian_in_Leavenworth
No comment necessary.Seems close. I have had about 41 inches, so that map looks like it may be right for me. We actually had more in February 2014 though, which surprised me. Still a few days to catch up. Nowhere near a record for February though for where I live or for Eastern Washington as a whole, but certainly above normal.

Perturbed Member
Snowing moderately but it looks insane outside. Snowing sideways, upwards and drifting and blowing everywhere. Very dry powdery snow, haven't seen this stuff in a while. This is plenty of precip rate to get some solid accumulations, but the radar has a huge hole for me soon. Accumulating at a nice pace. epiceast
Is this the first standard winter storm we're actually getting? Seems like some warm fronty action to me where the surface low is somewhat decoupled from the upper levels that are nearly southern, instead of a trough digging past the cascades or a jet stream pinching the block.
