December 2019 Weather Discussion for the PNW

I'm confused. That doesn't look anything like what was posted in my group. I dunno?

It is the difference between the previous weeklies and this one, not actual anomalies. Still, I glanced at a run through gif of both runs, and figured it out.

In the earlier run, colder anomalies start very early in the month. In the new runs the first week is warm before it cools down. Perhaps if the comparison was the last 24 days of the month the new run would be as cold if not a little colder.

Now now lads. Is this the kind of Christmas discussion Santa would want?

I get it, the weather has been pretty abysmal but let's keep our heads intact shall we? :)

I rather enjoy the meltdown. It's quite entertaining.

There is 2 inches of snow on the ground at my cabin and that is the least amount there since 2011. Mountains really need to get in gear! This

I would have thought your cabin got hammered last Thursday when Leavenworth got a foot and that little town near Chelan got like 3 feet. Did it not?

Never turned over to snow last night in Leavenworth by the way. 33 degree rain all night. Pretty frustrating.

Sheesh, can't be civil a whole week on this thread.

Culver is doing what I think is called kicking a dead horse. Take a break from the forum and have another drink.

The horse is decaying and growing maggots.

Nope it was the perfect trajectory for that area to get the shaft. My place does really good with the northern clippers or low pressure swinging inland and south. Typical west to east fronts fizzle out by the time they reach me then gain steam again near idaho. That area is extremely hard to predict though. Most winter storm warnings there fail and most advisories hit hard. The one thing that is consistent there is cold it gets very cold there and -28 so far is the coldest and some of the full timers up there have had -45 many times.

We come from the land of the ice and snow.

That's a bummer. I guess I'm not familiar with exactly where your cabin is. Must be further East than I was picturing?

It was an unusual setup in Southern B.C. the western most passes were absolutely buried while the higher passes further east had much less snow and a lot of rain.

Wow, his got out of control quick. Good job!

I don't know why people get mad about people being "negative." Who cares?
