This is SEA's largest since Jun 20 when 0.42 was recorded. Exactly 3 months ago. In fact, it seems like today is only the 3rd time in 3 months SEA surpasses 0.10" of rain. Sept 18 and Aug 29 were the other two times. Dry.

GFS struggles during the spring months over the NE-Pacific, endlessly forming those spurious/autonomous ULLs. Haven’t seen that same bias during the autumn months.

That in addition to autumn phase-8 climo statistically favoring troughing/storminess in the GOA/PNW made it an easier call (IMO).

Much more niño like, with anomalous subsidence establishing over the MC/E-IO w/ upper level divergence re-centering over the EPAC/ATL.
