Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Not sure if anyone posted this, but gotta wonder if anyone will be posting throwback pictures of this in 70 years:

https://mynorthwest.com/3946767/residents-skate-on-lake-washington-during-frigid-temps/

I skated in that same part of Lake Washington in January 2017. That one is also easily forgotten here because of the lack of snow but put down some impressive ice. Somebody also pushed a full sized dumpster out to the middle of Green Lake with that one. 😅

Rained at 32 degrees for awhile last night but never froze up. Must’ve been just a little too close to the Puget sound for ice accumulation. Low of 33 so far today.
Wind has switched out of the north here…and dropped from 43 to 39. There is a nice C-zone to the north that looks like it has the potential to get here. Of course it’ll probably be too warm even if we get precipitation to get here. Overall a cruel boring way to end such a legendary arctic outbreak IMBY.

You had 1/4" in Cedar Mill? I think the battle zone was probably right near us then, as we had about 3" of snow/sleet here in Bethany, with at least 2" of that being snow.

Same here, looked like an inch, but in some areas over an inch

Gfs keeps pscz snow going into the evening. Looks light though, and probably a mix or rain in some areas.image.thumb.png.0ffbbb0c3f1e1b5a4c90d81be9a8af8c.png

Interesting. Starting to stick to grass here and although it's light, radar is filling in some...

This week is proving to be pretty costly in the area. Please be safe out there as the thaw gets underway.

14 and a half inches in 12 hours!!! Now that's snow done right! Enjoy it!

Thanks. My body is telling me I enjoyed it too much after shovelling it for a couple hours. Big thaw starts in about 48 hours. It’s good to see Old Man Winter give a frosty middle finger to El Niño.

12z Euro even had that PSCZ precip lingering. Doesn’t shut it off until 7pm or so.

The Euro verified just fine. Maybe ~ 1°F too warm at the surface.

Any help y’all can give would be appreciated. I’m supposed to work tonight so wish me luck in getting there. I only work 5-6 hrs a week since I have severe epilepsy. Sucks never being able to feel independent.

It's rare we get sniped by the PSCZ here in North Seattle since the upsloping terrain feeds low level updrafts 10 miles to the north and subsequent downdrafts overhead. Usually we are on the bare periphery with some consolation skiffs.

Rarely do we get #nailed. Coming down good

Rooting for .2 inches more for you to make a whole foot! You should easily reach 30 cm, so that 12" will be the next benchmark.

I already have reached 30 cm. A foot is likely given that the Euro shows I have another couple hours of light snow left before the show is over.
