Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.
I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight.
The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d
Butte Creek, makes up a lot of the border between Marion and Clackamas County. Water was a bit high and cold, but she was swimming for hours. I went down about a half mile stretch of the creek in the inner tube a few times. The water was cold but tolerable.
Democrats are still segregating today. One example is all-black graduations. Another example is safe spaces on college campuses.
They also assume black people are incapable of obtaining photo IDs (even though most black people don't think requiring voter ID is racist).
Another example is teaching all white students they are oppressors and all black students that they are oppressed. It encourages black people to play the victim card.
Bonus points for wearing a life jacket! Looks like you guys found a secret swimming hole all to yourselves there. Is that on the Willamette River?
We went out swimming today at the Sandy River. It was the most people I’ve seen there in May. The water was still a little too cold and the current strong so didn’t spend much time swimming as usual.
