The sustained winds seem far weaker than they were during the last one in January when I was afraid one of my south facing windows would be blown out.

I don't have a team but I used to be a fan of Edgar Martinez so I cheered for the Mariners,  so I mainly cheer for PR now. My dad used to be a baseball player in his younger days (my mom and dad met in a game while he was playing for my mom's town lol) so since I was a kid we used to go to games a lot.

My family liked that the team from DC in 1972 was moving to DFW where they live.

Its gonna snow, A LOT! Willamete valley will get hammered tommorow night, Puget Sound will get hammered tonight, and I'm gonna get a ton of snow tommorow! 00z ecmwf is going to show a bunch of snow thursday-sunday. Eugene will get a foot, salem will get a half a foot, Portland will get a few inches, Washington lowlands will get skunked, and I'll get 2-3 feet. And all of the mountains are gonna get BURRIED!

Are you maybe a bit higher than the main Sun River area?  I was under the impression that it averages about 60 inches a year. Several websites say that.    But, like many areas, there are surrounding areas that can get a lot more.  Maybe youre a bit closer to Mt Bachelor and you get more snow than the main Sun River area.

I remember years ago my parents stayed there and really liked it.  Sounds like a great place

Oh that block support is strong, alright. It's just a bit too far to the west to incorporate any Canadian air. Off-the-chart positive height anomalies over the North Pacific; record breaking actually. Inarguably during our recent cold snaps the truly big story has lied with the heatwave on the other side.

00z ECMWF till 10 am Tuesday. Nails mossman, and it agrees on a showery setup in the willamette valley, I'm sure some areas will score more than what it's saying and some areas less. Could someone post the kuchera map?

I don’t think any showers will make it over the mountains here tonight.  Our best chance is late tomorrow when that convergence possibly sets up.
