Yeah decently wet for Oregon compared to the last few runs

Pretty good amount of snow shown up in the Washington cascades too, decent in Oregon but not as much.

People in 1955 did not need to wait long for the return of winter weather... 1955 has both the latest season and earliest season sub-30°F highs on record at KSEA. 29°F on 3/4/55 and 21°F (!!!) on 11/12/55. I really can't wrap my head around that November cold snap. Just what the hell.

Was up over a month with snow on the ground and more snow falling on this day 3yrs ago.

Remarkable. Tough to find many other years where anywhere in the lowlands had snow on the ground for over a month straight into March.

That is very cool!  Never seen any bird that colorful before around here except Goldfinches, a few Blue Jays, and once a red cardinal that must have been lost.

I do miss cardinals, growing up in the south, they were my favorite bird, especially against a backdrop of snow (which of course was pretty rare.

We have a lot of stellar jays around my house here in Bellingham, and a couple of resident hummingbirds.

We’ve completely lost December as a winter month out here.

Depressing since that’s when the shortest days of the year and Xmas holiday(s) are.

My dog yard grass was nuked after being under a glacier for nearly 40 days!

Lowlands leafing out a tad late. Can confirm at my place, with the first buds showing on the front yard bushes now when they would've usually done so by mid February. Coast and foothills apparently leafed out a few weeks ago and were quite early. @TT-SEA @SilverFallsAndrew is this accurate or is this just a graphics error? Don't exactly want to drive out to the foothills to hunt for leaves...

You can really see the impact the inversions had this February.

There are no leaves here yet... but that is always the case in early March.    Leafing out a few weeks ago?   That would be ridiculously early.   2016 was the earliest leaf out I have seen here and even that happened later in March.

It also seems that January and February have become dry months in California more often than not during the last decade. These used to be two of our rainiest months of the season!

Euros going for a low of 26 here during this “Arctic outbreak”. Other than that it looks like a good mountain snow pattern.

Hope to hear from Hawkstwelve soon... they should be in Sioux Falls now.

Unfortunately the big snowstorm that was shown for later this week there is gone now and it might be in the 50s and sunny by Sunday and maybe even low 60s by early next week.
