PNW December 2022 - Part II

My girl and I took a trip up to Tenant Lake Park in Ferndale around 1 to check out the watchtower. Snow was blowing sideways from the northeast and it was absolutely frigid. Snow was blowing across the street all the way down Smith rd. Very cool. Now enjoying the snow with family and a fire in Sudden Valley.

Andrew's team?  LOL.  J/K Andrew.  I know some others we could put on that team.

We are still going to get that jet extension. It’s just going to have more mountain snow. Win win!

We'll see if this makes leaving Boise on Saturday morning a little more interesting. I'm sure they'll be able to get the airport operational by then.

So now I’m still in the snow on Christmas Eve? Yay!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Oops, sorry Randy, I cut off the date. This is mid-day Friday, I believe.

Such a stark cutoff, really really sucks. At least Thursday still looks somewhat wintry

Not true at all where I live.  We often have snow ratios in excess of 15:1 and the traditional 10:1 is useless.  NWS Spokane uses it

Sure, but for the west side of the cascades (vast majority of people here), kuchera is often posted because it usually shows higher amounts.  Yet almost never materializes.
