Low solar might mimic volcanic influence though.

High latitude volcanoes might. But tropical ones would inevitably have the inverse effect on the BDC..and 1992 was a solar max year.

Lot of upper 80 and lower 90 readings south and east of the sound. 82 so far in Tacoma, warmest day since 8/5, we will see if we can touch 85 in the next couple hours.

PDX's 58 yesterday was only 2 degrees short of a record warm low. If the 62 today holds, that will be a record by 2 degrees.

Can’t wait for those cooling marine winds to move in later tonight. Has been a bad couple days for surgery recovery, especially with no AC! The cooler nights with this event have been a god send, though.

Thought those numbers seemed a little wonky. PDX’s record warm mins are around mid-60s or so well into September.

Today may hit 85 here in Tacoma, which would be the first 85+ of the month, and only the third of the summer. Currently 84.

How’d you pull that off?

A new roof was put on my house and I cleaned it off with a leaf blower. The amount of granules from the roof was insane. I cleaned the gutters and put it in the garbage bin.

 

The garbage bin ended up weighing at least 350 pounds and I struggled to move it. Anyway, that garbage bin crushed both of my hands.

Just missed 85 degrees today. Still only 2 85+ days this summer, may have to wait until next year to see another one.

Yeah, a little too far north for any impacts. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near this monster when it comes onshore. Latest HWRF came in even stronger.

Dec-Jan 1968-69 was absolutely incredible. Excellent precipitation totals, excellent snowfall. Doesn't get much better than those two months. A shame that March 1969 was so dry, but otherwise an almost perfect cold season.

 

Now if only we could get a repeat... which is extremely difficult in the current state of our climate.
