d**n!

I couldn’t help myself and clicked on the pic you posted the other day. Pretty gnarly. I’m glad you were able to bounce back from that.

Thank you. Strangely, the pain wasn't too bad. The doctors told me that was due to so much nerve damage. Lol

Thunder confirmed. Now, will these be worth anything is the ultimate question. I haven't touched my cameras all day yet.

Dust collecting on my camera...

Petrichor filling the house. Smells godly. I wish there were more epic storms though.

For the umpteenth time, treating all neutral ENSOs as equals (by their ONI value) is a huge mistake and will lead to a slew of busted forecasts for those who do it.

Oh well.

Warm and dry September and October... a couple weeks of storms in early November... and then a frozen winter wonderland from Thanksgiving to New Years... and then an early spring.

Is that asking so much??   ;)

Sounds like you're no longer officially sick of snow anymore after getting three feet of it last February.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Looks like they got some monsoonal moisture up there, or it could also be the remnants of Ivo.

Who's they?

Every holiday weekend this summer has been model inconsistency mania right to the end with meandering ULLs.

Very humid tonight. Looks like the radar is working at least halfway.

Its all or nothing with the radar. And I don't see evidence that is has been back up.

I haven’t seen anyone actually make a meaningful forecast at this point.

It just bugs me to see “ENSO neutral” plastered all over the internet as if it’s some one-size-fits-all definition that can be applied/used deterministically.

Today ended up being a non-event. Yes heard thunder but nothing to write home about.

I hope in September I get something more exciting than that.

Quite a few lightning-caused fires though from today. Lot of strikes down there and in N. Cali.

It's kinda seeming like your area isn't doing great in our new climate regime. A lot less winter snow, much hotter, much more prone to drought and also a drop in summer convection.

An elder was just telling me not long ago how when she was younger, she would have trouble seeing past the snow banks at intersections just to turn there in Klamath Falls. Says that was a normal winter phenomena.
