my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
Thank you for explaining this to folks on here who don’t understand how it can be quite different here.
Currently 68F with mostly sunny skies. Beautiful day in the SE Willamette Valley at the entryway to the empty west.
Woke up to barely any rain falling and strong shadowing on radar and I thought my worst fears had come true. Thankfully I just woke up during a lull. It's been pretty whet all day with around a third of an inch so far.
More filling in from the west. This stuff could be good.
Nice and dry over here, hope it stays that way.
Crazy situation happening in Iowa, a few tornadoes on the ground west of Des Moines. Watching live news cast, doesn't look good. Many cells heading toward the Des Moines metro.
