F**k the Ducks, worst team in any sport. Go Washington state, every beaver fan needs to root for them! Only team that didn't abandon the pac12, wsu needs to prove that the remaining PAC2 did not deserve to be abandoned!
It only got down to 45F at KSEA last night. Pretty disappointing given the meteorology. I thought that with the retreating trough and low level cold air we'd have a shot at some upper 30s, but instead it remained relatively mixed throughout the night. It was actually colder yesterday morning with surprise clearing providing a RARE overperformance down to 43F.
I'm guessing we cleared out too quickly yesterday morning and the hot May sun warmed the lower column superadiabatically, giving a high of 65F. Below 700mb there was too much heat content for our short night to properly radiate out to space, contrary to model guidance which wasn't so bullish on high temperatures yesterday.
Flood Watch up for the potential for heavy rain and training storms later tonight and early tomorrow here in East Central Nebraska… It looks like we are going to add to our already above normal rainfall totals for May. Also a decent chance for some more severe weather too, bring it on!
I imagine we will see a rather quick trend to linear-ish organization tomorrow, but this system is fairly anomalous for this time of year in terms of the surface low depth and the wind fields. Could at least have a pretty decent QLCS tornado threat.
